Simcoe Day Weekend - Fenelon Falls Live

  • 3 Aug 2019
  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Fenelon Falls

Fenelon Live is a member of Kawartha Works Community Co-operative, Inc.  Last year Fenelon Live put on a Simcoe Day Event that was very successful with over 4,000 people attending.   This year we want to dedicate the event and its success to Bob Pennock our Chair who passed away in April    He was a leader and believer in Community.  Simcoe Days 2019 “Reach Into History” is a community event open to all.

The first weekend in August in Ontario is “Simcoe Days.”  This year organizers are expanding our event’s profile and reach by promoting awareness of settlement of Fenelon Falls and Simcoe’s influence in Canadian history before, during and after his role as First Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada.  This year represents the “UN Year of Indigenous Languages” and settlers to Upper Canada and Lord Simcoe would have met many First Nation peoples.

Simcoe Day runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm across Fenelon Falls, with events on Water Street, by the Terrace Gardens, at the Fenelon Museum, on the TSW Island and more! There will be live music, historical re-enactments, lumberjack demonstrations, arts & crafts, and fun for the whole family! You do not want to miss out.
