The Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan has a remarkable number of options to chose from. Design a plan for your unique needs and budget. Call Planned Benefits Inc. for more information at 1-877-277-0711.

IGNITION INTERLOCK:
It can never be stressed enough, especially around the holiday season, Don’t Drink And Drive. Between 1999 and 2000, alcohol-related collisions were responsible for 26 fatalities. The Ontario Government is taking increased measures to ensure the safety of our roads. Anyone who commits an impaired driving offence on or after Dec. 23rd, 2001, and is subsequently convicted, will be subject to the Ignition Interlock Program. After serving the current provincial sanctions, those who are eligible to have their driver’s licences reinstated will have an ignition interlock condition placed on their driver’s licence for at least one year, meaning that an ignition device must be installed in any vehicle the offender drives. Before starting the vehicle, the driver must blow into the device. If the driver’s blood alcohol concentration is above the pre-set limit, the vehicle will not start. Drivers subject to an ignition interlock condition are responsible for all installation and maintenance costs of the device.
