CHRISTMAS WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST: We are very pleased to announce the winners of our 5th Annual Christmas Window Decorating contest. Placing first, second and third respectively were, Bayview Art-Canada, Purdy’s Jewellery and Bigley Shoes & Clothing. We thank all of our entrants and hope that everyone has a very successful season!

CONGRATULATIONS: It is with pleasure that we announce that Country Side Homes has been presented with the “Healthy Housing Award” from CMHC Canada. This award is in recognition for outstanding quality in constructing homes that meet rigorous standards of environmental, energy efficiency and air quality issues in residential construction. Our congratulations on a job well done!

CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES UPDATE: We have included a link to the update from the Environmental Services Deparment regarding the new commercial bag and recycling limits. We were happy to join with the Lindsay BIA, Lindsay Chamber and Fenelon Falls Chamber to present our concerns to the Waste Management Task Force regarding the reduction in garbage and recycling limits and to have them increase the limits to better suit the needs of our members. WEBSITE UPDATE: The Chamber’s website is continually being revised and updated. We ask that anyone wishing to include a picture of their business on the site to provide us with a few different shots by either e-mail, mail or drop-off and we will include a photo as quickly as possible. If you have any other suggestions for our website just give Tara a call at the office.
