SMALL BUSINESS WEEK LUNCHEON:
This year’s Business Connections Luncheon, held on Oct. 22, 2003, was another success. Valuable information was presented, business contacts were made and good food was served. Thanks to all who attended, participated or made a donation.

SUPPORT THE SHORTS:
Purolator is collecting nonperishable food items to donate to local food banks. Donations may be given to Purolator drivers with cold legs and warm hearts for as long as they wear their shorts (from November 1 - December 12, 2003) or donations may be dropped off at our office and we will pass them along to the Purolator driver. It is important, especially at this time of year, to remember the less fortunate.

OF CHRISTMAS PAST:
The Boyd Heritage Museum presents an historical evening of classical music on November 29th, 7:30 pm at Christ Church, featuring Bob White - organist, Jaclyn Cunningham - classically trained voice, Hannah Tilma - harpist, Catherine Crowe - traditional music from Ireland, Scotland & England, Brian McFadzen - readings from the early 19th & 20th century. This evening also includes coveted door prizes, decadent desserts and Christmas punch for only $10.00 and tickets are available at the Library.

GYM & POOL MEMBERSHIPS:
It is not too late to take advantage of the great deal that the Forbert Memorial Pool has offered to Chamber members, their families & employees. A year membership for the fitness centre and the pool is only $94.16 (including GST) as compared to the regular fee of $220.00 (plus GST)! If you are interested in becoming or staying fit (don’t forget the Christmas season with all it’s goodies is fast approaching) please drop off the membership fee to the Chamber and we will register you with the Forbert Pool. Phone 738-2202 if you have any questions.
