SAFE BOATING REMINDER:
As of September 15th, 2002 all operators of crafts under 4 meters in length (including personal watercrafts) are required to have proof of competency on board. We are accredited to offer the Canadian Coast Guard test in our office. Stop by and see us before next summer’s rush. The fee to write the test is $30.00 + GST. We also offer a Basic Boating video for rent which is filled with valuable information to help you pass the test. The video rental
cost is $10.00 for 48 hours with a $20.00 deposit required.
MEMBERSHIP INVOICES:
It is that time of year again. We are now sending out the 2002/2003 membership invoices. Please take this opportunity to stop by our office with your membership fees and bring along your business cards and brochures. We would love the chance to hear how your summer went and we always value your suggestions and comments.
To those who have not received their Chamber plaques, we will be sending them to you as soon as possible.

THANK-YOU TO FAIR FOOD BOOTH VOLUNTEERS:
We would like to extend a special thank-you to all those who volunteered their time to assist at the Fall Fair Food Booth. We sincerely appreciate the long hours that some of you put in. The event has proved to be a very worthwhile endeavor and without your continued generosity we would not be able to benefit from it so greatly.

Many communities in the area also offer Small Business Week activities. The Lindsay Chamber hosts a Breakfast & Keynote Presentation featuring Ron Downey of Total Performance Ltd. on Tues, Oct. 22 at 7:30am at the Lindsay Inn. Tickets are $22.00 per person. Phone 324-2393 for more info.
The Fenelon Falls Chamber sponsors a business dinner Thurs, Oct. 24th, 5:30pm at Dockside Grill. This evening features an informal presentation of information and contacts. Tickets are $5 and available at the door. Finger foods will be served and refreshments are available. Please call 887-3409 for further details.
