THANK-YOU TO CRUISEFEST VOLUNTEERS:
We would like to extend a special thank-you to all those who volunteered their time to assist in the 6th Annual Cruisefest. We had 85 antique, classic and custom vehicles participate and an excellent turn out despite the cloudy weather!
FEAST O’ FALL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST:
Display your artistic side by participating in this City of Kawartha Lakes sponsored event. The Grand Prize is $500.00 donated by Denure Tours with first and second prizes awarded in each category. The categories are:
- A Kawartha Moment
- Recreation and Adventure
- Our Natural Environment
- Family Fun
The deadline to receive photos is Nov. 12, 2002. Phone 324-9411 for more information or visit our office to pick up your entry form, contest rules and release.

PETERBOROUGH LIFT LOCK 100TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO CONTEST:
Here’s another opportunity to show your creative flair. The Peterborough Lift Lock Anniversary Celebrations Committee has begun planning a major celebration for the Peterborough Lift Lock,
set for July 9, 2004. The Committee is opening a logo contest to the public in search of a logo image that captures the Lift Lock, its history and the events to celebrate its Centennial. Please call 1-800-663-2628 for further information, or drop by our office for a copy of the rules and regulations. First place is $500.00,
1st runner up is $300.00 and 2nd runner up wins $200.00.
