BOYD HERITAGE MUSEUM COMING EVENT
The Boyd Heritage museum is presenting Harry Van Oudenaren’s ‘Historic
Bobcaygeon’ slide show, along with slides presented by Barb McFadzen,
Chair, A. Sheila Boyd

Foundation, featuring Mossom Boyd’s
Barn and W.T.C. Boyd’s home. The presentation will be on Tuesday,
September 6 at 7:00 pm in the Art Room at the Bobcaygeon Library. Admission
will be by donation.
BOBCAYGEON C.H.E.S.T. MEETING CANCELLED
The public meeting scheduled for Monday, September 12th by the Bobcaygeon
legacy C.H.E.S.T. Advisory committee has been cancelled. The committee
apologizes for any inconvenience. We will advise you when we hear of a
new date.
CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES PUBLIC LIBRARY SEPTEMBER EVENTS
Stories and Crafts is a popular Saturday program at many of the Branch
libraries. These programs feature themed stories and a craft for boys
and girls of all ages. On September 10th at 11:00 am the Bobcaygeon Library
is holding ‘Decorate Veggies for the Fair’. For more information

DOORS OPEN KAWARTHA LAKES 2005
On Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, visit and explore
the history of 14 Heritage Sites in Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls. Sites
included in Bobcaygeon are: Boyd Heritage Museum; Christ Anglican Church;
Ignatius Stewart House; Kawartha Settlers’ Village; Our Lady of
Peace Catholic Church; Providence United Church; and Moondance Antiques.
Sturgeon Point and Fenelon Falls sites are: Sturgeon Point Union Church;
Railway Station; Fenelon Falls Museum; Backman House; St. James Anglican
Church; Heritage Cemetary; and Netherhill Meadows Bed & Breakfast.
This free, self-guided, tour is brought to you by the Victoria County
Historical Society, City of Kawartha Lakes, and Heritage Victoria (LACAC).
