FISHING REGULATIONS:
This is of special note to our accommodations members. Many of our U.S. visitors wish to return home with fish they have caught in our lovely lakes, but if their fish are inspected at the border and the correct procedures for storage and transporting have not been followed, our visitors will be charged. Please be advised that to comply with regulations you must ensure that a Conservation Officer can determine
the number of fish you have

The length of the fish or fillets when a size limit is in effect

HERBS ONTARIO FESTIVAL:
The 4th Annual HerbsOntario Festival takes place on Sunday, August 3rd between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Emily Creek Herb Farm (along Cty Rd 24, west of Bobcaygeon). Free admission for the whole family with many activities:

  • garden talks and demos (including herbal cooking, herbal healing and
    how to create your own “lavender home spa”, plus many more)
  • a country herb garden stroll with the “Spice Girls” (the 1st Dunsford Girl Guides are the Festival’s garden lore interpreters)
    outdoor Festival Marketplace
  • meet Ms. Tara Cotta and Clayton, the Festival mascots

ARTISANS OF THE VILLAGE:
The 2nd Annual Artisans of the Village Exhibition & Sale will take place on Friday, Aug. 8th, 4-8pm and Saturday, Aug. 9th, 9 am-5pm at the Kawartha Settlers’ Village. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. Come out and see all the watercolour and oil paintings, quilt creations, bunka and other folk art, photography, wood carvings, wearables and more, all displayed in log homes and historic buildings.
