CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS:
The day’s festivities begin at Tommy Anderson Park -Registration for horseshoes at 9:00 a.m. - Official opening at 9:15 a.m. - Children’s activities at 10:00 a.m. - Parade at 2:30 p.m. at Market Square to King Street and Highway 36 - Birthday Cake - Entertainment at the Locks at Noon - Old Time Fiddlers and Karmicjustus performs from 2:00-4:00 p.m. - Steak B.B.Q. at Royal Canadian Legion from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Music by Friends at 7:00 p.m. - Fireworks at dusk at Beach Park - Rain date July 5th and concerts will be held at the Community Centre on July 1.

GARDEN TOUR:
The 7th Annual Bobcaygeon & District Horticultural Society Garden Tour takes place on Saturday, July 12 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There will be 7 lovely gardens to enjoy and tickets are only $10.00 each and may be purchased at our office and at a variety of merchants.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST:
The Daily Post and the City of Kawartha Lakes Presents the Sunsational Summer Photography Contest, running from June 15 - September 2, 2003. Categories include:
A Kawartha Moment
Recreation & Adventure
Our Natural Environment
Family Fun
There will be great prizes in all categories with the grand prize being a Kodak DX 4330 digital camera, courtesy of Bell World. Official contest rules can be picked up in our office or at any City Service Centre.

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS:
City of Kawartha Lakes Boys and Girls Club is running a day camp from the Bobcaygeon Beach Park. This camp is for children ages 5-14 and incorporates arts & crafts, sports, swimming and beach games on a daily basis. Visit the Library on Tuesday afternoon for a movie, go on a trip each Wednesday and try Mile High Adventures Indoor Rock Climbing Wall.
Fees:
Per Day $18 (Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri)
Trip Day $35 (Wed)
Per Week $85 (Mon - Fri)
