ANNUAL MEETING: Our Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 1st, aboard the Caravelle II, leaving from the Beach Park dock at 7:00 p.m. sharp (please arrive 15 minutes prior). Please join us for an evening cruise on Sturgeon Lake. Cost is $10.00/person to help cover the cost of food and refreshments - with special thanks to Planned Benefits Inc for their sponsorship of this event. RSVP to the Chamber office by Tuesday, July 30th at 4 p.m.
CONSTITUTION REVIEW: The Board of Directors have been revising the Constitution for the Chamber of Commerce. A copy of the recommended changes will be arriving prior to the Annual Meeting. Please review the information and be prepared to vote on these changes at the Annual Meeting. BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS: The Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for Executive positions and Directors. Anyone who would like to become a part of our vital organization and assist with the direction the Chamber will take in the next year, is invited to contact Cindy at the office or Nominations Director Darlene Keast at 738-6498 to discuss your involvement. The directors are the "life-blood" of your Chamber and the time that they unselfishly give to promoting the area through our many programs and events is undoubtedly the best advertising any business can receive. Nominations acceptance deadline is Thursday, August 1st at 4 p.m.
CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES BUSINESS INCUBATOR: Your Board of Directors have reviewed information provided by both the Economic Development Department and Mr. John Panter in regards to the business incubator. The Economic Development Department will be hosting public meetings in the near future regarding this issue, including one in Bobcaygeon (watch for notices in the papers, or from us). We encourage everyone to attend to have your questions answered. You are also welcome to contact John Panter at 738-6039
