SETTLERS’ DAY
2005:
On June 25, 9:00 am - 7:30 pm, come out and visit the past at Kawartha
Settlers’ Village, 85 Dunn St. This annual event offers a great
opportunity to see pioneer life happening before your eyes. Admission
is only $3.00 for adults, children 6-12 are $1.00 and children under 6
are free.

PUBLIC MEETING:
The Bobcaygeon Advisory CHEST Committee will be holding a public meeting
at The Bobcaygeon Service Centre on June 20th from 7-9 pm. The purpose
of this meeting is to decide on options for the expenditure or investment
of the CHEST fund, which includes in excess of $3 million generated from
the sale of the former Bobcaygeon Hydro electrical facilities and services.
Written submissions will be accepted if you are unable to attend, and
may be mailed or dropped off to:

SUMMER GARDEN TOUR:
Presented by the Bobcaygeon & District Horticultural Society, Seven
Lovely Gardens to Visit, featuring artists from Brushstrokes and Members
of Master Gardeners of Ontario to answer gardening questions. Saturday,
July 9, 2005 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tour Passes are only $10.00,
includes refreshments and are available at our office.

UNLOCK THE SUMMER:
This year’s festivities were very successful; the rain stayed away,
lots of people came out to enjoy the fun and we sold almost 600 tickets
for the Great Bobcaygeon Duck Race! Thank you to all the businesses and
groups that participated or made a donation, specifically; Trent-Severn
Waterway, City of Kawartha Lakes, Advertising Works, Body & Sole -
The Village Spa, Kawartha Dairy, Classic Car Owners, Riverside Lodge,
Southwinds Resort, Bigley Shoes & Clothing, Buckeye Source for Sports,

very sincere appreciation goes to the Unlock the Summer Committee for
the countless hours of time they put into planning and organizing this
enjoyable event.
