FREE COMPUTER WORKSHOPS:
The City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library has partnered with the Technology
Alliance Group to deliver computer training to library patrons at no charge.
3-hour workshops on Basic Internet, Basic Computer, Email and Basic MS
Word as well as 1-hour one to one training will be offered at City libraries.
Workshops will take place throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes, including
Bobcaygeon, Dunsford & Fenelon Falls during
June & July. Please register in advance as space is limited. Call

CANADA PAGEANTS:
On July 17th, Canada Pageants will be hosting a preliminary pageant to
crown the Mrs/Miss/Miss Teen Bobcaygeon. The winners will become local
ambassadors by participating in parades, fairs, expos and other community
events. Preliminary Pageant winners then move on to compete for National
Canadian Titles. Canada Pageants offers women aged 13-56 opportunities
for career advancement, networking, media exposure, and personal development.

RURAL SENIORS PROJECT:
On Sun, June 12 from 3 - 5:00 pm in the Sheila Boyd Art Room at the Bobcaygeon
Library, the Rural Seniors Project is holding an Open House. “What
makes Bobcaygeon a good place for older adults to live and what are the
challenges?” - a short presentation will start at 3:20 pm. This
is your opportunity to ask questions, see photographs of Bobcaygeon and
other communities that have been studied & hear about how these communities
are supporting older adults. Refreshments will be provided.
