AN OPEN INVITATION TO EVERYONE: The Trent-Severn Waterway has spent the past year developing plans to revitalize the area surrounding our lock station. The Chamber of Commerce has been pleased to be a part of this project and we are continuing our support in a variety of ways.

The first is to invite everyone (and your friends and neighbours) to two public information sessions. On June 6, 2002 there will be two gatherings: from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Boyd Museum and from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Bobcaygeon Curling Club. At each of these get-togethers there will be a large display of the proposed changes, i.e. Docking, signage, plantings, walkways, etc. Professionals from the Trent-Severn Wateway will be in attendance to answer all of your questions, and to take note of any additional suggestions you may have.

We hope that you will be able to attend one of these sessions, as we feel that the revitalization of the lock station area is extremely important - for most of us the lock station is the life-blood of our business.

If you are unable to attend, please feel free to drop into the Chamber office this week as a small version of the designs can be viewed and your comments will still be included.
