BURN BAN LIFTED:
Fire Chief Dave Guilbault has lifted the Burn Ban for the City of Kawartha
Lakes as of 8:30 am, Thursday, April 21st. Residents are reminded that
burn permits are still required in certain areas. For further information,

CITY SERVICES AFFECTED IN THE EVENT OF A STRIKE:
The City of Kawartha Lakes has released information on what services will
be maintained in the event of a strike by CUPE 855. The union, representing
400 inside and outside workers, is in a legal strike position at 12:01
am on Saturday, April 23. While the City is optimistic and confident that
an agreement can be reached, |
residents should be aware that a number of
services may be impacted in the unfortunate event of a strike.
A complete list of unaffected and affected services will be available
for you to pick up in our office.
KLACC BUSINESS SOCIAL:

8th Annual KLACC Business Social being held at the new Environmental Technology
Wing at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay. This event takes place
