CUSTOMER SERVICE SEMINAR:
This important workshop is only three days away and there are only a few
open spots remaining. Ron Downey, Sales Trainer & Coach from Total
Performance Ltd. will be speaking at this seminar. Everyone is welcome
to participate and learn to increase customer satisfaction, achieve the
highest level of service and inspire your staff to work as a team. Tickets
are only $15.00 per person. The workshop is on Monday, May 5th from 6:30
pm - 9:30 pm upstairs at the Bobcaygeon Service Centre. Please phone 738-2202

5th ANNUAL KAWARTHA BUSINESS SOCIAL:
This week is filled with exciting Chamber activities! After attending
the Customer Service Seminar on Monday, make sure you reserve time on
Wednesday, May 7 between 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm to attend the Business Social
at Beachwood Resort. This is an annual networking opportunity between
the Lindsay, Lakefield, Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon Chambers of Commerce.
There will also be a BBQ, cash bar and brochure swap.

AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE:
The winner of this year’s Citizen of the Year is Ted Sale, Business
Leader of the Year is Dorothy Case of Case Manor and the Outstanding Business
Achievement Award went to British Empire Fuels . We had many nominations
this year, and we would sincerely like to thank all those who took the
time to put in their nominations and especially to those who were nominated.
It is people like you that make Bobcaygeon such a great place to live!
The Spring Social was another great success this year, with fun games,
excellent food, wonderful prizes and a good deal of merriment! Thanks
to the Spring Social committee for all their hard work in putting together
such a terrific evening.
FORBERT POOL MEMBERSHIP:
The Forbert Pool is still offering us special corporate rates for fitness
memberships. This great deal applies to Bobcaygeon Chamber members and
their employees. The more members that join, the greater the savings.

For example, if 10 Chamber members wish to join, their fee would be
$136.00 per year (which includes use of workout centre, fitness classes
and swimming pool). If 20 members join, the rate drops to $88.00 per person,
if 30 members join it becomes $72.00 and if 40 of our members purchase
a year membership it would then be only $64.00 per person. Please contact
the office if you are interested in participating, so we can calculate
the numbers.
MEMBER SURVEY ON SARS:
In the last Update we included a request made by the Ontario Chamber of
Commerce to fill out a survey regarding the impact of SARS on business.
Attached to this Update is a copy of the results of this survey.
