Finding it hard to keep that New Year’s resolution? Well, look no further. The Forbert Memorial Pool is once again offering a discounted rate to Chamber members, their families and employees. The Chamber year at the pool starts January 31st, so the longer you wait to start your fitness
routine, the less you save.

The annual discounted rate is $136.00 + GST = $145.52, which includes use of the gym and pool. Please phone Amy at 738-5858 for more details.

TOURISM ADVISORY & TASKFORCE MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT
The council of the City of Kawartha Lakes is inviting members of the public who are interested in serving on the Tourism Advisory Board and various taskforces to focus on issues and initiatives pertaining to the Tourism sector. In order to be eligible to apply you must be an elector of the City of Kawartha Lakes, a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age and older. If you are interested please visit the Chamber office for an application or contact Margaret Cunningham at the City office 324-9411 ext. 233.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The City of Kawartha Lakes is looking for volunteers as ambassadors at their booth for the upcoming spring show season. Dates and locations of shows

Feb. 16-19, London Boat, Fishing & Leisure Show at the Western Fairgrounds, Feb. 23-27, Toronto Golf & Travel Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Mar. 10-12 and Spring Cottage Life Show at the Toronto International Centre, Mar. 31-Apr.2. LAKEHURST WINTER CARNIVAL
On Saturday, February 18th Lakehurst (10 minute drive west of Buckhorn) will be holding their annual Winter Carnival, which will include a Pancake Breakfast at 8:30am, silent auction from 8:30am - midnight, kid’s games, outdoor fun and so much more. The day will be completed by a dance from 8:30pm - 1am. For more information on this event please contact them directly at 657-2717.
