CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES PROPOSED BYLAWS:
We have received copies of the following three proposed bylaws and if you wish to review them please let the office know: Parking; Retail Business Holidays Act Exemption; and Signs.

A public meeting for the bylaw to permit Retail Business Establishments in the City of Kawartha Lakes to be open on certain holidays will be held on

Tuesday, February 7th at 1:30 pm, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay. All interested parties are invited to submit written comments and/or to attend the public meeting. Each presentation will be limited to 5 minutes each.

Public input is requested on the Parking Bylaw by Friday, February 10th. Written submissions must be received by that date and can be forwarded to the City Clerk’s Office.

Public input is also requested on the bylaw to Regulate Signs. Again, written submissions must be received by Friday, February 10th and can be forwarded to the City Clerk’s Office.

1st ANNUAL SPRING/SUMMER LEISURE FAIR
The City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture Division is inviting local businesses and organizations who provide leisure services to participate in the 1st Annual Spring/Summer Leisure Fair.

Scheduled for February 25th from

9am-6pm at the Lindsay Square Mall, the Leisure Fair is a new initiative to promote the various sports, recreational, or leisure activities available to City of Kawartha Lakes residents.

Booths are available to rent through Julie McQuat, Community Development Coordinator at 324-9411 x 335.

The Spring/Summer Leisure Fair will highlight youth and adult activities taking place during the spring and summer seasons. Leisure activities include youth and adult sports groups, dance clubs, martial arts studios, recreational activities, hobby groups and much more.

Be a part of this magazine designed to promote Bobcaygeon, its attractions and businesses to cottagers, visitors and residents. The Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce distributes Explore Bobaygeon through several tourism points throughout Ontario. The magazine is also mailed in response to enquiries.
