FOLLOW-UP NOTES
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
HELD MARCH 3, 2005
In response to issues discussed at the general membership meeting held on March 3rd, the following is an update on some of the items.
Co-operative radio advertising was discussed and we have information, options and contacts available. Radio spots for this season will sell quickly, so if you are interested contact the Chamber Office ASAP.
Explore Bobcaygeon 2005 will be made available to the Fiddle and Step Dance Competition. These magazines will be distributed to the participants and fans. To create a welcoming atmosphere, the businesses and especially the restaurants will be encouraged to provide in house specials for the weekend.
Effort is being made to contact the tour companies who frequent the village throughout the year. Obtaining a schedule and contact person will allow the Chamber to inform the restaurant and shops of scheduled visits.
A summary of the co-operative advertising opportunities currently available follows:

CHEX Television ImagePlus Program
· Minimum of 20 – 30 second commercials per month for 12
months
· 10 occasions late afternoon/evening programming, 10 occasions
daytime/late evening programming
· Standard production of two 30 second commercials – free
· Imageplus members will share all otherwise unsold airtime on
CHEX TV as free bonus spots
· Statements which show when commercials ran, and total value of
airtime delivered monthly
RADIO
The Chamber is looking at co-operative radio advertising with 740AM, 107.5FM and 95.7FM.
